Abstract
This review addresses a critical vision of the book "Environmental sustainability and social well-being" by Julia Carabias as part of her admission to the National College, from a perspective encompassed in the thoughts of the so-called Global South, which has the purpose of helping the reader to learn about Julia Carabias' contributions to the challenges that keep us away from sustainability. This document presents a series of questions regarding the author's proposals and arguments about those that would be considered valid for the vision about which it is written. The review full of examples and strong criticism of the author's moderate position will allow readers to reflect on the knots that the author presents and which are important to pay attention to in order to achieve the changes expected to overcome this civilizational crisis. This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
